    Choose your translation type

Certified translations are used for legal, government, academic, employment or financial purposes and thus are placed on our letterhead and accompanied by our certification of translation accuracy. Acceptance by any US government agency, including the USCIS, NVC and immigration courts, is guaranteed. Our certified translations are also often used in foreign countries around the world.

Business translations are used for marketing, operational and other business purposes. They preserve the format and design of the original documents, using more advanced formatting and design tools like Adobe InDesign or Illustrator when necessary.

Do you require DTP services along with the translation?

DTP (Desktop Publishing) involves advanced design and graphics editing, ideal for documents with complex formatting, images, charts, or embedded text requiring translation. This service is offered at an additional cost, ranging from $10 to $30 per page, depending on the document's complexity and order volume. Note that the AI-generated quote will exclude DTP costs, which will be assessed separately by a human representative. If you proceed with the AI quote, the DTP fee will be charged separately. Alternatively, a comprehensive quote including DTP costs can be provided by a human representative.

Learn more about our DTP services and formatting options

    Editable Source Files

To best preserve your document's format and design, we may require editable source files, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Word, PowerPoint, or Publisher formats. If you haven't uploaded these files yet, please consider doing so. Note that editing or translating in graphics software formats involves our DTP specialists, which may incur additional fees.

Self-Formatting or Using Your Own Designer

If you plan to handle formatting and design yourself or hire your own DTP specialist, we can provide translations in a two-column table format (e.g., MS Word or Excel). The left column will contain the original text split into phrases or paragraphs, while the right column will include the corresponding translations, making it easier to insert translations into your source files.

No DTP Fees for MS Office Documents

Documents in MS Word, Excel, or PowerPoint formats can be translated while preserving their format and design without incurring DTP fees. However, translations may not be identical to the original due to language length differences, font limitations, and other factors. Additional charges may apply if images with embedded text require translation.

    Handling Non-Editable Source Files

If editable source files are unavailable, we can attempt to convert your documents into MS Word format for translation without applying DTP fees. While this approach often preserves formatting, some variations may occur due to file conversion limitations. Alternatively, our DTP specialists can review and make every effort to closely match the original design, even without source files.

Format Variations Due to Linguistic Differences

Language differences, such as text length and writing direction (e.g., left-to-right vs. right-to-left), can impact formatting. For instance, Spanish and French are typically longer than English, while Arabic and Hebrew are written right-to-left. These variations may cause content shifts or misalignments. We strive to address these issues and deliver translations that closely match the original format.

Regular, Priority, Express and Urgent translations

These translation services are ideal for immigration, court, education, work and business purposes. We will determine if your document(s) require certified or business translations or both. Certified translations are used for legal, government, academic or financial purposes and thus are placed on our letterhead and accompanied by our certification of translation accuracy. While the format of a certified translation is plainly recreated in MS Word in black and white, following the original document, it is not necessarily identical. Business traslations, on the other hand, are used for marketing, operational and other business purposes. They preserve the format and design of the original documents, using more advanced formatting and design tools like Adobe InDesign or Illustrator when necessary. These translations come with 100% acceptance guarantee by any US government agency, including the USCIS. They are also often used in foreign countries around the world.

Free quote or free quote including expedited options

If unsure, you can use the free quote service to get a free translation cost estimate and turnaround time. If you also want to know what expedited translation options we can provide for your request, select the free quote including expedited options.

Rate per word - from $0.06

If your order consists of at least 1,500 words, we can use the rate per word. This option is more appropriate for large, wordy documents such as long form death certificates and lengthy and textual documents such as court documents, academic course descriptions or business documents such as employee handbooks, user manuals or any combination of the like.

    DMV/RMV/BMV translation

If you need a translation for the Department of Motor Vehicles, Registry of Motor Vehicles or Bureau of Motor Vehicles, or any other similar government driver licensing or car registration agency, then, this option is for you. It is very important that you choose this option as we need to determine the exact requirements of the agency you are dealing with. Keep in mind our rates for DMV translations are higher than our regular rates due to stricter requirements. Please make sure to choose the US state below where you will be submitting the translation.

Translation for a credential evaluation service elsewhere

If you need a translation of your academic documents for a credential evaluation service other than D&T Translations, then, this option is for you. We will provide you with a certified translation that you can submit to any credential evaluation service of your choice. Please make sure to provide us with the exact requirements of the evaluation service you are dealing with. Many credential evaluation services accept our certified translations without any issues, including WES, ECE, IERF, etc. Most NACES and AICE members accept our certified translations. If unsure, please verify with your evaluation service.

    Sworn translations

These translations are not to be confused with certified translations. Sworn translations are used in countries other than the USA where the translator swears an oath before a court of law or a government agency. Sworn translators are often either accredited by a government agency or a court of law in ther place of residence. These types of traslations are not common in the USA. They are more common in Europe and other parts of the world. If you are not sure if you need a sworn translation, please contact us for more information. Please keep in mind that if not specifically requested, certified translations could be used in lieu of sworn translations in most cases. If you need a translation for the Consulate of Spain or any other government agency of Spain, then, you should choose to purchase a sworn translation. Sworn translations are more expensive than certified translations due to the additional requirements and the need for a sworn translator.

Learn more about our notarization and apostille services

    Digital Notary

We are now offering electronic notarization. Ideal for immigration, court, education, work and other purposes. A translation notarized online is as legally valid as one notarized via traditional paper-based notarization. The benefit of digital notarization is that you do not have to wait for shipping which can take a week or so. You save a lot of time. You do not have to appear online before our notary public as we handle it ourselves. Simply select it here on the form and you are good to go. Most states in the USA have adopted digital notarization as a substitute for traditional notarization. Our documents are digitally signed and notarized by an approved remote online notary and sent to you by email allowing you to receive your notarized translations much faster than traditional notarization. Our regular digital notarization takes 48-72 hours to process after the translation is reviewed and approved. If you do not have a printer and you would also like us to mail you a color print-out of a digitally notarized translation as well, you can request printing and shipping in the comment section next. Printing and shipping fees will apply.

    Priority Digital Notary

Same as our regular digital notarization but processed in 1 business day after review and approval. This is currently a popular choice as it cuts the wait time for the notarized copy to be emailed to you down to only 24 hours.

    Same-day Digital Notary

Same as above but processed in 6-12 hours. This is ideal if you are in a rush or have a close deadline.

    Traditional notarization and FedEx

Traditional notarization requires a physical paper document with an original written signature in ink. It involves a pen-and-paper method where our project manager appears physically before a commissioned Notary Public. Our project manager's signature and the notary's stamp and signature are applied with blue and wet ink. If you are required to provide the original physical copies of the notarized translations with wet ink, then, traditional notarization should be your choice. If you intend to obtain apostille(s) for our notarized translation(s), then, traditional notarization is the way to go. We charge $15 for each ink notary stamp and $15 for shipping. It takes about a week to receive the traditionally notarized hard copies of translations after they are reviewed and approved by Email.

    Expedited traditional notarization

Same as regular traditional notarization but processed and delivered by FedEx in 2-3 business days after review and approval instead of a week or so.

    Email/Print-out without notarization

All our document translations are certified before they are notarized. If you do not need notarization, then, you can skip it. Notarization verifies the identity of the person responsible for the translation. Hence, it adds more authenticity to the translation. We always recommend notarization for all our certified translations because you might be asked to verify their authenticity.

Translation in MS Word and other editable formats

If you need a translation in plain format without our letterhead, this option is for you. All business translations are delivered in plain and editable format. We can also translate in differet formats such Adobe Illustator, InDesign etc.

    Apostilles for translations

If you intend to use our notarized translation outside the USA, you may be required to obtain an apostille. We can help you obtain an apostille for our notarized translation. If you need apostille(s) for the translation(s), then, our fee is $145 for one apostille and $100 for each additional. The fee includes the notary, state and mailing fees. It usually takes about 10-15 business days to process. We also offer expedited apostille services for an additional fee of $150 per order which takes 7 days to process. Our apostilled translation can be used in any country or consulate that is a member of the Hague Convention. In other words, any country or consultate that requests apostilles will accept it.

    Apostilles for original documents

If you need apostilles for your original documents, we can help you with those as well. Our apostille specialist will guide you through the entire process so you can avoid any errors, rejections and delays. Our service fee to help obtain an apostille for the original document is $50 for one apostille and $35 for each additional document in the same order. There is also a shipping fee of $24 (2 FedEx labels) and a state government fee. Generally, the government fees range from $3 to $25 per apostille. Some states offer expedited processing for an additional fee.
New York and Texas: The above service and shipping fees apply to documents issued or notarized in all US states except for New York and Texas for which we charge $65-$75 for the first apostille ad $50-$60 for each additional. The shipping fee for these two states varies from $36-$48. In addition, in NY and TX, there may be one or two additional steps to take and small government fees to pay before apostilles can be obtained.

How many notary stamps do I need?

To determine how many notary stamps you need, simply count the number of separate or different documents you have. Each separate or different document needs a separate translation. Similarly, each translation needs one notary stamp. Therefore, if you have 2 translations, you will need 2 notary stamps. You can specify the number of notary stamps in the comment section next. Each digital notary stamp is $5. Example: 2 translations = 2 digital notary stamps = $10.
